Winter Hummingbirds in Macon, GA
As of now, there are 2 different selasphorus hummingbirds in the Macon area. Photos are being submitted for possible identification before resorting to banding. These are either Rufous or Allen's hummingbirds and more than likely first winter Rufous. I am attaching photos of a bird visiting a yard near the Georgia Academy for the Blind. And we would love to hear of more hummers in the area for the Macon Christmas Bird Count!

Great pics!
Would love to see one of those hummingbirds.
Hope they stick around for the count!
We didn't have any hummingbirds last year, so I hope they hang around as well. Neat to have at least two in the area.
